Sustainability - The Aim Of The Game

What is the secret behind Grant's 135+ year long success? Looking to the future.

We at Grant's Foods are proud of our past and previous successes. However, the key to our success has always been looking to the future. Establishing new ways to produce our products that are ethical and sustainable, not just for our business but for the environment and community too.

Doing Our Bit For The Environment

We are actively trying to ensure our processes are as sustainable as possible. Whether that be through the continued use of our steel cans (even when everyone said plastic was better) or switching our packaging trays to corrugated cardboard which is easier to recycle.

Other changes we've made in an effort to be more sustainable include using more local produce in our cans and reviewing our production processes. We even use couriers who are actively trying to reduce their carbon footprint such as Evri and DPD.

What About The Community?

During the coronavirus lockdowns, Grant's Foods double down our efforts to produce canned goods during a time of panic buying and isolation. Not only have we helped to provide millions of cans of tasty nutritious meals for those stocking up the cupboards, we also began to work alongside (and have continued working with) local food banks to provide long life meal options.

Since the lockdowns ended, we've continued to work with local food banks to provide meals for those in need.

As canned meals have a long shelf life and in many cases can be eaten cold, we've been working alongside organisations to help provide both the people of Ukraine with quick, easy and tasty meals throughout the war.

As the war in Ukraine wages on, we will continue our efforts to help where we can whilst ensuring we provide meals for local charity efforts too.
