Together We Can Help Fight Hunger
December 13 2022 – Laura Cunningham
Due to the cost of living crisis, food banks have seen demand for their services soar as families are left choosing between paying the heating bill or for the food shop. As an ambient food manufacturer, we feel it's important for us to help where we can and we're asking you to help.
January will see us provide haggis for Burns Suppers at food banks and soup kitchens across the West of Scotland. However, we are asking for your help now. The Trussle Trust have warned a 'tsunami of need' will hit food banks this winter with demand increasing by 46%. Alongside other food donation charities such as FareShare, the Trussle Trust have issued a desperate plea for food donations to make up their emergency food packages.
At Grant's we know our products are ideal for food packages as they have a long shelf life, are filled with nutritious ingredients and are easy to store. That's why we're asking you, our wonderful customers, to purchase a 6 pack of Grant's Food cans and donate them to food banks across the country.
How Does It Work?
Simple. Click this link and add your chosen 6 pack to the basket. Pay as normal and you will receive a receipt. We will hold your donation until the of the month when we will send all donations to FareShare.
From there, FareShare will use their distribution network to ensure your donation is received by food banks and community groups across the country.
We are still charging our regular £6 shipping on orders under £30, which will be donated to Trussle Trust to help aid food purchases for emergency food packages.
