Only Canned Brand Recognised at 2025 FMT Awards
Grants Receives Dual Honours at Food Management Today Industry Awards 2025
Grant’s Roast Gammon was Highly Commended in the Red Meat category, standing out as the only canned red meat product to be recognised. Competing alongside leading fresh and chilled products, including category winner Sainsburys Taste The Difference Slow Cooked Hickory Smoked BBQ Beef Brisket, the Roast Gammon was praised by judges for its quality, flavour, and convenience.
Meanwhile, the company’s Italian Style Meatballs earned a Highly Commended spot in the Best New Product Development category. Once again, as the only canned product to feature among the finalists. This category celebrated the most innovative launches of the year, with the top prize going to M&S Collection Blackthorn Salt Dry-Aged King Arthur Sirloin Beef Joint. Grant’s meatballs were recognised for
their bold Italian-inspired flavour and ability to compete with premium chilled offerings through shelf-stable convenience.
John Fallon, Managing Director of Grant’s, commented:
“To have two of our products recognised at a national level and to be the only canned brand awarded in both categories is a huge achievement for our team. These commendations are not only a reflection of our commitment to quality and innovation, but they also challenge the perception of canned food. We’re proving that convenience and great taste can absolutely go hand in hand.”
These dual accolades further reinforce Grant’s reputation as a leader in modern canned meat innovation offering consumers trusted, great-tasting products that stand proudly alongside the very best in the industry.
